Thursday will give you an opportunity to experience student life to the fullest, including an overnight stay in the residence halls for prospective students!

On Friday, you'll have plenty of options to choose from as you explore academics, extracurriculars, chapel, and more.

Wheaton in Chicago (WIC) is a semester-long experiential urban studies program based in the Chicago neighborhood of Woodlawn. The program is open to students of any major or class year during both fall and spring semesters. We believe in the transformative power of place for developing students as leaders, servants, and contributors to shalom in our increasingly urban world.

Here are the details for the Wheaton in Chicago portion of the event. We will also email these details for easy reference.

Thursday, April 24:

8:15 a.m. | Check in at the Admissions Office + initial welcome
8:40 a.m. | Walk from Admissions Office to College Avenue Metra station
- WIC ambassadors will serve as public transit guides.
8:57 a.m. | Metra from College Avenue to Ogilvie Transportation Center
- Stop for bathroom!
- 9:50 a.m. | Walk two blocks to Clinton station, take CTA Green Line (Clinton to Garfield station)
10:30 a.m. | Guided walking tour with WIC Director through Washington Park (0.8 miles, Green Line Garfield station to Chicago campus)
- The Director will meet the group at the Garfield station and walk through Washington Park with as mini neighborhood tour on the way to the WIC apartments.
11:30 a.m. | Tour WIC facilities (500 E. 61^st Street and 6010 S. Eberhart Ave.)
12-1:15 p.m. | Lunch with WIC faculty, staff, and students
1:15-2:30 p.m. | Take the CTA Green Line downtown (Garfield to Clinton)
2:40-3:36 p.m. | Metra from Ogilvie Transportation Center to College Avenue station
4 p.m. | Arrive back at Admissions Office for Connection Event
